Fugolburna: stream frequented by birds? Film Screening from the Village Society

  • Haslingfield Village Hall High Street Cambridge, England, CB23 United Kingdom (map)

The film Fugolburna, the Anglo Saxon name for Fulbourn, is a call to protect and restore the Fulbourn and Wilbraham springs and iconic chalk streams currently in crisis, largely due to over abstraction from the aquifer. The film also celebrates the Fulbourn Fen Nature Reserve and beyond, and shows the efforts made by local community and environment groups to support nature recovery and improve the health of local ecosystems.

Event includes Q&A with the filmmakers, David Cottee, Secretary, Fulbourn Forum for community action and Nigel Kinnings, professional filmmaker.
