Screening of The People's Emergency Briefing

  • Haslingfield Village Hall High Street, Haslingfield, CB23 1JP Cambridgeshire United Kingdom (map)

Join us for a screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing #PEBUK.

What’s happening with climate and nature and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK? This eye-opening film of 48 minutes features nine leading UK scientists and experts commenting on the latest evidence and why it matters for extreme weather, nature, food security, health and economics.

The film emerged from the Nov 27th 2025 Westminster National Emergency Briefing (NEB), organised by science communicators Simon and Nick Oldridge of the Climate Science Breakthrough communications project. The event was attended by 1,200 politicians and other leaders.

Afterwards there will be a short discussion about what we’ve learned, what it means for our community and what we can do locally.

This event is brought to you by the Haslingfield and Harlton Eco Group, donations will be welcome on the day via cash or QR donation to cover costs. Refreshments will be available before and after the film. Please note this is recommended for ages 16+ only.
